Responsibilities for the position of Exhibition Guide at the Mystic Universe exhibition:
1. Conducting excursions:
-Organizing and conducting excursions for various groups of visitors (individual and group tours, VIP guests, student groups).
-Developing and adapting various types of excursions (by topic, age category, visitor interests).
-Immersing visitors in the concept of the exhibition, explaining the ideas and technologies used in the project, including 360-degree projections and immersive installations.
2. Language support:
-Conducting excursions in English and Thai. -Knowledge of the Chinese language is a big advantage.
-Assistance with the translation of texts from English to Thai for social networks and other materials upon request.
3. Content development:
-Participating in writing texts for social networks, news publications and marketing materials related to the exhibition.
- Collaboration with the SMM team and copywriters to develop unique content that reflects the essence of the exhibition.
4. Video content creation:
- Participation as a speaker in creating content for social networks.
5. Interaction with visitors:
- Coordination of the group during the excursion session
- Answering visitors' questions, helping to resolve any conflict situations or difficulties.
- Ensuring a high level of service for an international audience, including special requests and requirements.
6. Coordination with other departments:
- Interaction with the creative and marketing teams to ensure the relevance of excursions and information content.
- Support the exhibition administration in organizing work and making suggestions for improving the tour processes.
7. Training and development:
- Continuously studying new aspects of the exhibition and related technologies.
- Developing professional skills to improve the quality of excursions and communication with visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
1-Language:
-Fluent in English and Thai (written and spoken).
-Basic understanding of translation principles (English to Thai).
2-Education:
-Degree in art, history, tourism or related field is a plus (or equivalent practical experience as a guide or in tourism).
3-Communication Skills:
Excellent oral communication skills to conduct tours and interact with an international audience.
Ability to tailor explanations and presentations to different types of visitors (age, interests, etc.).
4-Experience:
-At least 1-2 years of experience as a tour guide, customer service specialist or in a similar public role.
-Familiarity with immersive exhibitions or multimedia art events.
5-Problem Solving Skills:
-Ability to resolve conflicts and resolve visitor issues calmly and effectively.
Ideal Requirements:
1-Language Proficiency:
-Fluent in English, Thai, and Chinese (written and spoken).
-Proven experience translating documents and assisting with multilingual communication.
2-Advanced Education:
-University degree or specialized coursework in art, digital media, cultural studies, or a related field.
Experience in digital art, multimedia, or interactive installations is a plus.
3-Extensive Experience:
-3+ years of experience as a guide at exhibitions, museums, or cultural institutions with a focus on immersive technology or digital art.
-Experience working with a diverse audience, including VIP clients and international visitors.
4-Content Creation Skills:
-Previous experience in social media content creation, especially in an arts or technology setting.
-Confidence to act as a speaker in video content for marketing or educational purposes.
5 - Strong collaboration skills:
-Experience collaborating with marketing, creative and administrative teams to enhance the visitor experience.
-Ability to contribute to the development of new tour formats and content that align with the evolving objectives of the exhibition.
